Recognizing All Learners? Inclusion and Exclusion in the Recognition of Prior Learning

A PLAIO-Sponsored Webinar

Wednesday 11 June 2025, 10:00-11:30 am EST (-4 GMT)

Recognizing All Learners? Inclusion and Exclusion in the Recognition of Prior Learning

Please join us to celebrate our recently published “special issue” of PLAIO that focuses on materials from the 5th VPL Biennale that was held in Kilkenny, Ireland in May 2024. (PLAIO.org).

This webinar furthers our discussions on issues, questions, and next steps regarding one of the key themes of that conference, the “inclusion and exclusion” of “all learners” in our work recognizing prior learning. We will explore the impact of principles, policies, and practices.

We look forward to conversations among those in our prior learning community prompted by remarks from our guests:

Ernesto Villalba-Garcia, European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training

Lana Ray, Athabasca University, Canada

Ossama Saleh, National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, Egypt

Agnes Witzani, Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Austria

Our webinar will take place on Zoom.
